私にとって絵を描くことは修行であり、人生の見方です。新たな作品が生まれるたびに、楽観主義への可能性が示されます。これが、私が絵を描く理由であり、伝えたいことなのです。４歳の幼い頃から、私はずっと描き続けています。正式な美術教育は受けていません。サンフランシスコ美術館、レッドウッド大学でのいくつかのクラス、メンドシーノ アート センターでの素晴らしいワークショップ、そして素晴らしい教師によるプライベート ワークショップを受けただけです。私の水彩画やアクリル画の作品のテーマは、自然や経験の抽象的な解釈です。1980年以来、自分の作品を展示し、17年間絵画を教えてきたことを嬉しく思っています。
For me, painting is a practice, a perspective on ife. Each new piece presents a chance for optimism. This is why I paint and what I hope to convey. Since childhood, age 4, I have been painting! No formal art education...just some classes at San Francisco Art Institute, College of the Redwoods, and fabulous workshops at Mendocino Art Center and private workshops with fabulous teachers. Subjects of my work in watercolor and acrylic are abstract interpretations of nature and experience. Exhibiting my work since 1980 and teaching painting for 17 years has been a joy.
